An Amalgamation of My Post Heartbreak Musings/Poetry
My heartbreak and realizations post it happening, lead me to creative nirvanas, where I manage to let words flow and string along some (pretty mediocre) unedited and possibly unfinished musings. I don't plan on making any changes to these for now. This is just for me to compile everything in one place to look back on someday, probably to laugh about the quality of the pieces.
About Her, For What We Had
I loved her,
Like the sea waves gently merging into the shore,
Like the celestial clockwork of the rising sun,
Shining it's light and bringing warmth,
Strong as a mother loving her child,
As unconditional as nature keeps us in her arms
I was complete with her,
Like the yin complementing the yang,
Like the smell of mud before the rains,
For pictures and posts of dogs,
Left a void as she shadowed away,
As I stared still towards the stars, albeit through fog
I came home to her,
Like the light entrenched within fireflies,
Like the innocence born by a child,
She cured me of miseries, troubles and shove,
For I never knew of magic,
Until the day I fell in love
I fought with her for her,
Like the heart beats for mortal existence,
Like a father provides for dispersing familial hunger,
For my soul knew no more than to be with her,
Her's being an extension of mine,
Which I could'nt stop to cheer for, never let it suffer
I write in memory of her,
Like the memories elephants carry,
Like words on paper etched in ink,
She painted pictures and wove magic with words,
Making me feel on chords unknown,
Starting the story of a couple former birds
This silly heart knows no more,
Than to love her for who she is,
And continue this depth of what it felt,
Sailing like ships do on a windy day,
For the world knows me as someone,
But with her I will always be silly Shrey
Love Someone Enough to Let Them Go
Can you love someone enough to let them go?
Let them be free, live their wildest dreams,
Even though you never blocked them in your scripture
Can you love someone enough to let them go?
Let them love without judgement,
Even though they still hold a piece of you
Can you love someone enough to let them go?
Let them find the way to take back their heart that is with you,
Even though you deeply hold on to an optimistic future
Can you love someone enough to let them go?
The answer depends on whether you love them deeply enough,
Because if it were to the strength and purity true love carries,
You would always want them smile to being called Mrs. Darcy,
With whoever they want to see completely, and perfectly and incandescently happy
On Losing Love
How hard is it to lose love?
Knowing that you hold on to them, yet you have to lose them to keep them in your life
Knowing that even though they love you, they still need to move forward
Knowing that as magical as you both were, this is not what they want to go forward with
Knowing that even though they'll be in your life, things may never be the same again
On Walking Away
Can you walk away from something you've given everything to?
Books and movies all tell you to love them completely, fully, wholeheartedly, unconditionally, and you do it
But what happens when you realise you've come to the wrong place
When you realise you were never part of their plan
When life gets so messed up that it becomes as hard to get out of it as easy it was to let yourself slip in
They say life is hard
This feels hard, genuinely hard
It hurts big time
Sometimes I feel it's all part of the plan
Sometimes I'm as hopeless and clueless as a depressed man can be
I know my constitution is to be optimistic, being a hopeless romantic
Yet when it hits your hard it becomes difficult to see the bigger picture
Maybe this had to happen for a reason
Probably to shed light on yourself and make you realise the value of love
Someday we will know, someday
Till then let's play our part in life
On The Beauty of Love
True love is deep
It cares and it gives
It stands unconditional, even through the hardest times
It is merciful, it is powerful
It cures the greatest tragedies and brings in resilience of the highest order
It never forgets and always finds a way to cheer up
It makes one feel no pain yet when one does because of it, it's the most liberating feeling one can ever feel
It is empowering
It never settles, even if it breaks the one showing it
True love is pure, blissful and amazing
Cherish it if you have it, and be grateful for it is indeed a fortune of the highest order to find true love in life
On Heartbreak
What happens when you're heartbroken,
When you've given everything you had to someone,
Only to see them walk over your heart as if it were a mere floor carpet,
When they never really fully loved you,
When someone else always had their heart and you were just for a feel good factor,
When you were partly what they always wanted and tried to fulfill each fantasy of theirs,
Yet they did not choose you,
When you never were the chosen one for them,
It hurts, it fucking hurts big time
